Austrian Grand Prix 2018
1 Jul 2018
Austria first hosted the F1 World Championship in 1970, with the famous Österreichring continuing to entertain a further 18 races until 1987. It wasn’t until a decade later that the country re ignited the Austrian Grand Prix which went on to race between 1997-2003. The track was
shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring. After being purchased and reconstructed by Red Bull, its name evolved and the Red Bull Ring was reopened in 2011. Since then, it has held other racing categories at the track including DTM and World Series by Renault.
